OFFICIAL LANGUAGE POLICY CIRCULAR

Dear Students and Staff,

In our continued commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and inclusive campus culture, the Management has resolved to implement a structured language policy for all forms of communication within the institution.

🌐 Official Language Policy

  • English shall be the primary official language for all academic, administrative, and professional communication within the college and hostel premises.
  • Kannada, being the regional language of the state, shall be recognized as the secondary language for communication.

🎯 Purpose of This Initiative

This policy is introduced with the following objectives:

  • To promote respect for the regional language and culture of Karnataka
  • To ensure uniformity and clarity in academic and official interactions
  • To enhance professional communication skills and global competency among students
  • To create a disciplined and inclusive communication environment on campus

This approach reflects the broader educational direction in Karnataka, which emphasizes a balanced use of English and Kannada for both global exposure and regional integration

⚖️ Guidelines for Implementation

  • All students and staff are expected to communicate only in English or Kannada within the college campus and hostel premises.
  • Use of any other language for regular communication within institutional spaces is discouraged to maintain consistency and inclusivity.
  • Faculty members, wardens, and administrative staff are requested to guide and encourage students in adhering to this policy.

🤝 A Note on Inclusivity

We deeply respect the linguistic diversity of our student community. This policy is not intended to restrict or diminish any language, but rather to establish a common platform for effective communication, mutual understanding, and professional growth.

“Language is not just a medium of communication, but a bridge that connects knowledge, culture, and professionalism.”

Let us work together to build a generation that reflects excellence, respect, and unity.

Warm regards,
Management
