Admission Cancellation & Fee Refund Policy -2026

Important Information for Students and Parents

All applicants and parents are advised to carefully verify that the candidate fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned University, Regulatory Authority, and Good Shepherd Institutions before seeking admission.

Applicants are also required to carefully read and understand the Institution's Admission Policy, Fee Payment Terms, Refund Policy, Student Guidelines, and Declaration Form before making any payment.

Once the fee is paid, no dispute regarding refund shall be entertained except as provided under this policy.

1. Eligibility Verification

  1. Admission is purely provisional and subject to verification of original documents and approval by the concerned University/Board/Regulatory Authority.
  2. If, during document verification or at any later stage, a candidate is found to be ineligible for the course, the admission shall stand cancelled immediately.
  3. In such cases, the Registration Fee, Admission Confirmation Fee, and other applicable charges shall not be refunded.
  4. Every admitted student must complete document verification within 15 days from the commencement of the course.

 

2. Withdrawal Before Commencement of Classes

Students wishing to withdraw their admission before the commencement of the course must submit a written application or send an email to the Admission Office. Official Email: hr@gseinstitutions.org

The effective date of cancellation shall be the date on which the written request or email is received by the institution.

3. Refund Policy (Before Commencement of Classes)

The following refund policy shall apply after confirmation of admission:

Time of Cancellation

Refund of Tuition Fee

Within 7 days from the date of admission

100% Refund (excluding Registration Fee and Admission Confirmation Fee)

After 7 days and within 15 days

50% Refund (excluding Registration Fee and Admission Confirmation Fee)

After 15 days and within 30 days

25% Refund (excluding Registration Fee and Admission Confirmation Fee)

After 30 days and within 45 days

10% Refund (excluding Registration Fee and Admission Confirmation Fee)

After 45 days from the date of admission

No Refund

Note: The Registration Fee and Admission Confirmation Fee are non-refundable under any circumstances.

4. Withdrawal After Commencement of Classes

Once classes have commenced, the following conditions shall apply:

  1. If a student withdraws within 10 days after commencement of classes, the student shall be liable to pay the current Semester/Academic Year fee.
  2. If withdrawal is made after 10 days of commencement but before University/Board approval, the student shall be liable to pay the current Semester/Academic Year fee.
  3. If withdrawal is made after University/Board approval, the student shall be liable to pay the entire course fee.
  4. Students withdrawing during the academic year, before examinations, or after examinations shall be liable to pay the complete course fee.
  5. No refund shall be admissible once classes have commenced except where specifically required under applicable law.

 

5. Cancellation of Admission by the Institution

Good Shepherd Institutions reserves the right to cancel a student's admission at any stage if:

  • The student is found to be ineligible under the University/Regulatory Authority norms.
  • False, incorrect, misleading, or forged documents/information have been submitted.
  • The student violates the Institution's Rules, Student Guidelines, Code of Conduct, or Declaration Form.
  • The student is involved in misconduct, indiscipline, criminal activity, ragging, violence, or any act detrimental to the Institution.
  • The student's admission is rejected or cancelled by the concerned University, Board, or Regulatory Authority.

In all such cases, no refund of any fee shall be made, and the Institution may recover any additional dues payable by the student.

6. Cases Where No Refund Shall Be Granted

No fee shall be refunded under the following circumstances:

  • Registration Fee or Admission Confirmation Fee.
  • Poor academic performance or failure in examinations.
  • Attendance below the minimum prescribed requirement.
  • Expulsion or suspension due to disciplinary misconduct.
  • Submission of false or fabricated information or documents.
  • Admission cancellation due to ineligibility.
  • Violation of the Institution's Rules, Student Guidelines, or Declaration Form.
  • Termination of admission by the Institution on any valid ground.
  • Withdrawal after the timelines specified in this policy.
  • Any other circumstance where the Institution is legally entitled to withhold the refund.

 

7. General Conditions

  1. All refund requests must be submitted only through a written application or email to hr@ gseinstitutions.org
  2. Refunds, wherever applicable, shall be processed only after approval by the Management and after deduction of applicable charges, if any.
  3. Refunds shall be made only to the original fee payer through the approved mode of payment.
  4. Any decision of Good Shepherd Institutions regarding admission cancellation and fee refund shall be final and binding, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
  5. The Institution reserves the right to amend this policy from time to time in accordance with Government, University, Regulatory Authority, or Management directives.
